Services Across the County

Pool surface services available throughout San Diego County

The same six services are available wherever we work in the county. Each one solves a different problem.

Resurfaced residential swimming pool with an even interior finish

Pool Resurfacing

Replacing worn plaster, quartz or pebble interiors on residential and commercial pools with a smooth, durable new surface.

Swimming pool with a newly applied plaster interior finish and clear blue water

Pool Replastering

Removing an old, worn plaster surface and applying a fresh plaster finish that protects the shell underneath and restores the look of the water.

Pool Surface Repair

Diagnosing what is happening at the surface — etching, delamination, staining — and correcting it rather than patching over it. Sometimes an acid wash or a minor repair is all a pool needs.

Crew preparing the interior of a drained pool during a renovation

Pool Remodeling & Renovation

When resurfacing alone will not get you where you want to be, a broader renovation may be the better use of the budget.

Crack running along the floor of a drained concrete swimming pool

Concrete Pool Crack Repair

Structural cracking in a concrete or gunite shell is addressed first — before any new interior finish is installed over it.

Pool Leak Detection & Repair

Water loss that evaporation cannot explain, traced to its source and repaired before it undermines the deck or the finish.

Local Pool Conditions

What San Diego County conditions mean for your pool surface

Pools in San Diego County get used for much of the year, under strong sun and with little rain to dilute pool chemistry. That steady use is what wears a pool surface over time.

Conditions are not identical everywhere in the county — coastal properties deal with salt air, while inland areas tend to see more heat and faster evaporation in summer — but the problems homeowners call about are much the same:

Common issues across the county

Hard-water scale
Evaporation concentrates minerals, which can leave scale and crusty deposits on plaster and tile. See the pool surface maintenance guide.
Rough or worn surfaces
Scale and etching both make a surface feel rough, and they are fixed differently. See why a pool surface feels rough.
Water loss
A falling water level in summer is not automatically a leak. See leak or evaporation.
Aging plaster
Plaster finishes wear out with age and use; quartz and pebble finishes generally last longer. See how long pool surfaces last.

Existing pools only

Pool surfaces are the whole business: plastering, resurfacing and repair of pools that are already in the ground. We do not build new pools.

03

Sometimes a pool does not need re-plastering — an acid wash or a minor repair is enough, and we will tell you so.
